Outfit #54: Red is Best
This was the outfit that i wore on Friday. The top and skirt are both from the Goodwill in London, ON, which is FANTASTIC! London has an older demographic, which means that they end up with a lot of the things I like: printed midi skirts, blouses, little old lady dresses. They have also just built a whole new building, so the store is now even bigger, and really feels nice to shop in. Honestly if you anywhere near London ever I recommend checking this place out.

Outfit #53
I am all out of clever post titles today...but here is another outfit! This skirt is from the same Value Village spree as the floral one a couple of posts down. Shortened to the idea bike-riding length. I quite like it...i am a fan of the printed skirts, it seems that printed skirt + t-shit is a bit of a summer uniform for me. I am not sure if this is a good or a bad thing...are the skirt prints varied enough that it doesn't get boring?

Outfit #52: Stripes Ahoy!
A bit of a nautical air is never amiss in the summertime...and I look for any excuse to war these striped shoes. They were a bit of an impulse buy last summer and when i first got them i had a hard time deciding what to wear them with...they don't really look right with florals which is like 90% of my wardrobe. This outfit is pretty cute though.
My face looked weird in all the photos where i was smiling.

Outfit #51 Pretty in Purple
I bought a few skirts at Value Village last weekend with the intention of shortening them for biking to work. I ride my bike in most of the clothes I wear, but since my ride to work is a bit more challenging than riding around downtown I have been going with above-the-knee options on workdays.
However I decided to wear this skirt as-is today since i was taking the TTC due to the weather...and there is no way this is getting shortened at the moment. I think this is the perfect skirt length. I have one other skirt in a similar length - you can see it here - and for some reason i find it's the perfect proportion.

Outfit #50: Summer Lights
So, on my way home from work today, riding my bike, some lady yells out her car window at me: "Hey! I can see your underwear!" I can guarantee that she could not see my underwear because I was wearing bike shorts under my skirt. I didn't feel like she yelled at me out of her car window in order to save me from embarrassment. Was i showing too much thigh for her liking? Is my biking in a skirt that visually offensive? Should I just wear tights all summer?

Outfit #47: Shortcuts
Does anyone remember this paisley skirt from a few weeks ago? I decided to shorten it. I really like longer skirts in theory but they don't always work with my giant hips...they tend to hand in weird ways that just aren't flattering. I think this skirt will be much better at this length for summer, whenever it arrives. Also much better for cycling. I have started cycling to work which I believe may present a whole new set of wardrobe challenges.
